Join us at the Charity Tax and VAT Seminar 2012, where our expert speakers will help you to understand the legislation, avoid costly mistakes and structure your charities' activities to make the most of the exemptions and relief available.  Hot topics include:

  • Avoiding tax on trading and business activities
  • VAT treatment of income streams
  • Making the most of tax-efficient giving and avoiding costly errors on Gift Aid
  • Understanding the new recovery scheme on all property purchases or property refurbishments in excess of £250,000
  • Getting the latest on penalties for VAT return errors
  • Understanding and improving VAT recovery

Many areas relating to Charity Tax and VAT have been the focus of news items of late. The impact of the present economic climate on a charity's income will worsen the position of many charities, making it even more important for them to maximise their tax efficiency and use tax reliefs available to donors to encourage donations.

The conclusion of consultations, reports from the Gift Aid Forum, the Public Administration Select Committee's report on the Big Society and the role of the third sector in the development of a culture of philanthropy will all have a significant effect on how charities will arrange their tax and VAT affairs in the future.  With all this change in motion, Jordans' acts as the beacon of light bringing together three exemplary speakers for this year's Charity Tax and VAT Seminar to thrash out all the pertinent aspects of VAT and the exemptions from taxation on a charity's income and what you need to know as a charity professional.

What is included?

  • Comprehensive notes to use as reference in the office
  • The opportunity to ask questions on all subjects covered
  • The chance to buy selected Jordans products at 20% discount
