Recent permission applications in the Supreme Court

The Supreme Court currently publishes the results of its decisions on applications for permission to appeal. They can give an insight into the potential areas for change in public law.

The most important public law case that was granted permission in March was SL v Westminster. This is a community care case concerning section 21(1)(a) of the National Assistance Act 1948.
