Failure to provide sufficient notice prior to suspending a school governor rendered his suspension of no effect.

(i) The Claimant, a parent governor of Parrs Wood High School, sough an order quashing a decision made by the Defendant on 13th April 2011 to suspend him for a period of 6 months. He also sought orders directing that his period as a governor be extended by the length of his suspension and that any further attempt to suspend him be determined by an independent governing body.
