Civil Justice Report paints a bleak picture of access to justice
The Civil Justice Council (CJC) has published a report entitled: Access to Justice for Litigants in Person (or self-represented litigants), which will be of interest to all public lawyers given the areas which will see reduced levels of legal aid funding in the future. The focus of the report is on how the civil justice system should respond to the challenges posed by the inevitable increase in litigants-in-person that will follow the changes to legal aid.
