Welcome to the Start-up Loans Company

Startup Loans

The Start-up Loans Company is a fantastic new Government-backed initiative set up last year to boost enterprise amongst 18-30 year-olds.  Devised by Lord Young of Graffham, enterprise advisor to David Cameron, the scheme will make £110 million available over the next 3 years to help up to 30,000 young people aged 18-30 to start their own business by helping them to obtain finance for a business that they might not otherwise be able to access.

The Start-up Direct team is the Start-up Loans Company’s internal delivery partner.  We are committed to giving young people a start in life by reaching out to young entrepreneurs eager to set up on their own.  We provide young people with pre-start up support to develop a business idea and to create a viable business plan.  Once finance has been agreed, we assign the young entrepreneurs an experienced volunteer Business Mentor, who will support them to build a successful and long-lasting business.

As well as this financial and advisory support, we also have a range of ‘corporate partners’ such as Regus, PayPal and Intuit, that offer our young entrepreneurs free and discounted access to services such as; virtual office packages, meeting room space, online payment facilities and accounting software packages.
