From 1 February 2012, the compensation payable on employment tribunal awards due to a compensation event taking place from that date will go up.
â— the maximum limit on a week's pay increases from £400 to £430;
â— the maximum unfair dismissal compensatory award increases from £68,400 to £72,300; and
â— the minimum basic award for unfair dismissal for health and safety, employee representative, trade union or occupational pension trustee reasons increases from £5,000 to £5,300.
