Child abduction outside of the Hague Convention 1980: an overview

Elisabeth Cape

Solicitor at Bindmans LLP

There is a vast amount of information and debate surrounding Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction 1980 (the Hague Convention 1980).and the international policy behind it, but what about the children who fall outside of this convention? What remedies are there when a child is abducted to or from a country that is not a signatory to the Hague Convention 1980.
