Withers LLP v Rybak and Others [2011] EWHC 1151 (Ch), [2011] BPIR 1202, (Morgan J, 9 May 2011)

L obtained judgment against R. R assigned to L all its interest in certain sums held in its solicitors’ client account. Morgan J held that the solicitors were entitled to a retaining lien over the monies in their capacity as solicitors for the reasonable legal costs and expenses incurred by them in acting for R.
