The Two-Income Trap: Why Middle-Class Mothers and Fathers Are Going Broke (Basic 2003) and; Warren, Elizabeth. "The Vanishing Middle Class" in Ending Poverty in America: How to Restore the American Dream 38 (The New Press, 2007)), The Daily Telegraph and The Guardian have published interesting pieces on the increasing financial pressures that the English middle classes are being subjected to.
