Sands and Treharne (Trustees in Bankruptcy of Mark Ward) v Wright [2010] BPIR 1437

Registrar Simmonds declared void under s 284 of the Insolvency Act 1986 a post-petition payment made by a debtor. There were too many inconsistencies in the recipient’s evidence for him to have discharged the burden of proving that he had given the debtor value for the payment.
