Re Alitalia Linee Aeree Italiane Spa v Professor Fantozzi (as the Administrator in the Republic of Italy of Alitalia Linee Aeree Italiane Spa) [2011] EWHC 15 (Ch); [2011] BPIR 308

Due to the intervention of the European Commission, the court-appointed administrator of the Italian airline retained funds in the airline’s UK bank accounts with a view to their being used to discharge an indebtedness to various UK employees. In the meantime, liquidators were appointed in the UK by way of secondary proceedings.
