CENTRE FOR BUSINESS AND INSOLVENCY LAW
It is with great pleasure that I bring the following activities of the Centre to your attention:
AUTUMN EDITION OF THE INSOLVENCY BULLETIN
Many thanks once again to Paula Moffatt for preparing the Autumn edition of the Insolvency Bulletin which you can view on the Centre’s website.
SPEECH BY MR JUSTICE NORRIS
Mr Justice Norris was the keynote speaker at the INSOL Europe Academic Forum / Nottingham Law School joint international conference dinner held on 28 June 2012. Mr Justice Norris has kindly made his speech available for publication on the Centre’s website which you can see here.
POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IN INTERNATIONAL INSOLVENCY LAW
The first cohort of students were enrolled on our new PG Dip in International Insolvency Law in February this year, and the next course will start on 1 February 2013. It would be appreciated if you could bring this course to the attention of those who qualify for enrolment. Please see the web page for more information about the course and a downloadable PDF brochure.
INTERNATIONAL INSOLVENCY CONFERENCE
As mentioned in previous communications, the Centre intends continuing with the hosting of an International Insolvency Conference in 2013. The date for the conference has been set for Wednesday 11 September 2013, so please make a note of the date in your diary. As many of you may already be aware, Professor Paul Omar joined Nottingham Law School from Sussex University on 1 September 2012. Since it is hoped that many of those attending Professor Omar’s inaugural lecture will also attend the conference, Paul has decided to hold his inaugural lecture on the day preceding the conference, namely on the evening of Tuesday 10 September 2013. More information about both these events this will be made available in due course.
