Insolvency Items in the News: Bleak for Retailers according to Begbies and the Telegraph, but good stuff according to the Liverpool Echo

There are some interesting insolvency items in the news. The Daily Telegrpah, citing some Begbies research, has argued that retailors are going to face a stiff time in the New Year. Good for bargain hunters perhaps, but not so good for employees and shareholders. We will have to wait and see if their prediction is correct. The Liverpool Echo has taken a different view and thinks things might be more positive in the New Year but only for Begbies because of the slump outlined above. Oh Dear! In more happy news state side an recently bankrupted lorry driver has come up trumps on the lottery according to the Daily Mail. Good for him and good for his creditors perhaps?!
