Insolvency Cases Roundup

There have been a spate of insolvency cases over the summer period. Whilst we were lounging in our deck chairs or relaxing by the pool the judges of the Chancery Division have been cracking on. My insolvency portal colleagues at Guildhall Chambers will be providing summaries in the coming days. In the interim here are the citations (and links) in no particular order:

Mann Aviation Group (Engineering) Ltd v Longmint Aviation Ltd & Anor [2011] EWHC 2238 (Ch) (19 August 2011) - this case includes an interesting discussion of s.238 IA86 (transactions at an undervalue).

Williams v Lawrence & Anor [2011] EWHC 2001 (Ch) (28 July 2011) - this case includes an interesting discussion of s.238 IA86.

Rayford Homes Ltd v Bank of Scotland Plc & Anor [2011] EWHC 1948 (Ch) (23 July 2011) - This case concerns the priority between two secured creditors following an application under s.35 IA86.

Payless Cash & Carry Ltd v Patel & Ors [2011] EWHC 2112 (Ch) (29 July 2011)  - a case which involves an action brought by the company (in liquidation) to recover money from an allegedly miscreant director.

Milsom & Ors v Ablyazov [2011] EWHC 1846 (Ch) (18 July 2011)  - an interesting case on receivership.

Lehman Brothers International (Europe), Re Extended Liens Application V [2011] EWHC 2022 (Ch) (28 July 2011)  - yet another Lehamans case.

Claridge, Re The Trustee In Bankruptcy of [2011] EWHC 2047 (Ch) (29 July 2011)  - an interesting case which considers s.339 IA86 (transactions at an undervalue).
