Getting Rid of Some Old Insolvency Provisions

Today's Telegraph has an interesting piece on the Law Commission clearing out some old statutes. The piece includes a reference to an insolvent debtors' act of 1856. See the Telegrpah article here for 'An Act of 1856 passed to help imprisoned debtors secure their early release from prison." I believe the statute the paper is refering to is the  Imprisoned Debtors Discharge Society's Act 1856
