An insolvency scholar for the Vinerian chair at Oxford?

Regular readers of the blog will know that Professor Sarah Worthington FBA QC, the leading insolvency scholar, is the Downing Professor of the Laws of England in the the University of Cambridge. The University of Oxford has recently advertised the Vinerian chair - the other renowned chair of English law in the UK. Will it be taken by another insolvency scholar?

"Vinerian Professorship of English Law

University of Oxford -Faculty of Law in association with All Souls College

Start date: 1 October 2013 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The historic Vinerian Professorship presents an unsurpassed opportunity for leadership in legal scholarship in the 21st century. The successful candidate will have shown the capacity to make a distinguished contribution to the discipline, and will provide intellectual leadership in legal studies in the University and worldwide. Within the field of English Law, there is no restriction upon the area of scholarship to be pursued by the postholder.
