Mark Jarman, Barrister, 4 Paper Buildings, Temple and Liz Davies, Senior Lecturer Children and Families Social Work, London Metropolitan University. The most junior social worker involved in the Victoria Climbie case was placed on the Protection of Children Act list, so preventing her working with children for a considerable time. The Care Standards Tribunal, in allowing her appeal, roundly criticised such use of the list. Barrister Mark Jarman and social work lecturer Liz Davies look at the case and its implications for social work practice and current Government consultation. See October [2005] Fam Law 814 for the full article.
