SPECIAL GUARDIANSHIP: Re G (A Child) [2010] EWCA Civ

(Court of Appeal; Ward and Wilson LJJ; 10 February 2010)

This case concerned the application for leave to apply to discharge a special guardianship order. The court found that the correct approach was to apply for a 'change of circumstances' as the change needed to be 'significant'. Parliament had not intended by the use of word 'significant' that a different approach should apply to that used in M v Warwickshire County Council (M Intervening).
