Community care grants could be made to help a father cover the costs of transporting the children between his home and their school during the children's contact time with him. The financing of a handover journey was consistent with the purposes of the social fund, and it was common sense that, while an ordinary school journey was excluded, a journey to facilitate the children's change of residence form one parent to another was not excluded simply because it began or ended at the child's school on a day when the school was open.
