After a very short childless marriage, with no pre-marital cohabitation, the judge awarded the wife 5 million of the husband's c 30 million, on the basis that the shortness of the marriage could to some extent be countered by the fact that the marriage had ended because of the husband's adultery rather than because of any decision by the wife, and that, having married a very rich man, the wife had been given a legitimate expectation of a certain lifestyle.
