Lord Justice Thorpe: Statutory Arbitration in Ancillary Relief

The Rt Hon Lord Justice Thorpe, Head of International Family Justice, UK

The object of this article is to enlarge the current debate amongst lawyers and perhaps even politicians on the reform of our ancillary relief laws. The content and direction of reform seems to deter our legislators. Practice statutory reforms are perhaps less daunting. To extend the Arbitration Acts to reach all financial issues created by the breakdown on relationships is surely safe territory. For the full article, see January [2008] Family Law Journal.
