The Family Law team, led by the editor Liz Walsh, have reached the half way point of its charity fundraising target.
Family Law is participating in The Legal Walk at 5.30pm on Monday 18 May organised by the London Legal Support Trust. The team's fundraising target is £2000 and to date they have raised just over £1000.
Editor of Family Law and team leader, Liz Walsh, said: "Thanks to all who have donated so generously so far - a magnificent total of £1000. With 2 weeks to go we'd like to get to our £2000 target. It's a great cause".

The Law Centres and legal advice agencies in and around London are having trouble maintaining their services in the face of the recession.
Meanwhile the need for legal advice and help is rapidly growing. In the areas of social welfare law such as housing, debt, employment the increase in need this year has been both swift and staggering. Some of that need is met by Legal Aid but by no means all of it.
Specialist lawyers or caseworkers can make a huge difference to the lives of the most disadvantaged people. They can prevent homelessness, sort out debts, and ensure that people are getting the correct benefits and community care support.
The ten kilometre walk starts from the Royal Courts of Justice in London and proceeds along the Thames past the Tate Modern, the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament, around St James Park and finishes at the Law Society on Chancery Lane.
Included in to the expected 3,400 walkers will be over fifty judges, over a dozen senior partners of firms and heads of chambers, three Law Commissioners and the First Parliamentary Counsel.
Last week Natalie Friday and Michelle Uppal from Miles and Partners joined Liz Walsh in the Family Law team. If you would like to Walk the Walk and join the Family Law team you are most welcome, just email email@example.com with your details. The deadline for joining is Friday 1 May.
