Family Justice Council Annual Debate: 'Adoption without parental consent'

The Family Justice Council is holding its 9th Annual Debate and panel discussion at the Strand Palace Hotel, Strand, London WC2R 0JJ between 5.30pm and 7.30pm on Tuesday 24 November 2015

The topic for this year’s debate is 'Adoption without parental consent is wrong in principle'.

The event will be chaired by the Rt Hon. Sir James Munby, President of the Family Division and Chairman of the Family Justice Council.

The speakers are:
  • Louise Tickle – Freelance journalist specialising in education and social affairs.
  • Professor Julie Selwyn – Professor and Director of the Hadley Centre for Adoption and Foster Care Studies, University of Bristol.
As there is likely to be a high demand and spaces are limited for this event, you are advised to apply as soon as possible. The aim is to achieve a cross-section of all key professions working in the family justice system and applications are welcomed from those who represent the interests of service users. Successful applicants will be informed by Tuesday 17 November 2015.
