Association of Lawyers for Children calls on Government to honour its duty

In a speech to the Annual Conference of the Association of Lawyers for Children on Friday, Alistair MacDonald, Co-Chair of the Association, called on the Government to honour its duty to vulnerable children and young people by providing adequate resources for the country's child protection and family justice systems.

MacDonald stated, ensuring that those working within the child protection and family justice systems are properly resourced must surely be the touchstone of the State's clear duty to vulnerable children and young people."
