This article considers the judgment of Sir Mark Potter, President of the Family Division in Re Child X (Residence and Contact - Rights of the Media Attendance: FPR Rule 10.28(4))  EWHC 1728 (Fam),  2 FLR (forthcoming). Child X, with the support of the mother, applied for an order that representatives of the media be excluded from future hearings in relation to the applicant's application for contact and residence in respect of their child.
