Family Law

The leading authority on all aspects of family law

06 JUL 2011

(Family Division; Theis J; 23 May 2011)

Counsel made a without notice application for wardship, prohibited steps and a passport order. The judge made the orders but required a further affidavit be filed by 12 noon the following day from the Plaintiff confirming the information that had been given to the court. Counsel then sent a note explaining that he had got the case confused with another and that the passport order should therefore not be made.

The judge discharged the order and directed that solicitor and counsel provide written explanations.
