A description of a number of acts of violence spread over nine months during a close and affectionate relationship did not satisfy the course of conduct requirement or the requirement that it was conduct amounting to harassment under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997. The case was analogous with R v Curtis  EWCA Crim 123.
