The mother was involved in well-known television programme which resulted in a lot of publicity surrounding her child, aged 2. The local authority applied for a care order and an interim care order was made. The media attended outside the family proceedings court. One newspaper had requested permission to publish material relating to reasons behind care proceedings.
Following an application by the local authority, the judge made a reporting restriction order.
