The Civil Procedure Rule Committee is holding an open meeting on 13 June 2008 in central London from 10am to 1.30pm. The meeting will give you a chance to observe the rule-making process in action.
The Civil Procedure Rule Committee is an advisory non-departmental public body set up under the Civil Procedure Act 1997 to make rules of court for the Civil Division of the Court of Appeal, the High Court and the County Courts.
Guests at the June meeting will be observers only and will not be able to take part in the committee's business or contribute to items in the agenda. However, there will be an opportunity at the end of the meeting for guests to ask pre-submitted questions to the committee.
A full agenda, accompanying papers and further details will be sent prior to the meeting.
Accommodation is limited, so potential guests need to complete a short application form available on request from Judith Evers (Judith.email@example.com). The deadline for applications to attend is 18 April 2008.
