The Legal Services Commission (LSC) has published its latest annual report for 2007/08.

The Annual Report shows the LSC's key achievements and performance against its corporate targets set out in their Strategic Plan.

This year the LSC achieved or partially achieved only 22 out of 35 key performance indicators. It partially achieved seven out of eight of its corporate targets.

This year saw the LSC having significant issues around the implementation of the new supplier management system, LSC Online.

Overall this year, legal aid funded over 2.5 million cases, although there has been a 1% drop in completed family law cases.

The report shows that the average cost of public law cases has risen by 8%.
