The CJEU holds that EU provisions do not prohibit nationally agreed provisions for automatic termination at a retirement age of 65 if the national provisions are objectively and reasonably justified by a legitimate aim concerning employment policy and the needs of the labour market, and that retirement age is appropriate and necessary.
