Family-friendly regulations are created

Family-friendly regulations are created
As part of an ongoing commitment, the government has created various regulations purporting to create and extend family-friendly rights.

These include regulations which create rights for couples adopting a child born to a surrogate mother, include parents adopting a child outside the UK in the right of shared parental leave and pay, and extend the existing unpaid parental leave regime to parents of children between five and 18.

Best practice

We have previously reported on the shared parental leave regulations which came into force on 1 December. Veale Wasbrough Vizards can help keep you on top of this complicated legislation and provide your organisation with both comprehensive advice and a tailored shared parental leave policy.
