Pre-accession infringements

On 8 September, Advocate General Kokott handed down her opinion on a reference from the Czech courts on the question of the relationship between infringement action by the European Commission and a national competition authority in respect of the same undertakings, involved in the same cartel (being a single and continuous infringement) over a period including time before the Member State’s accession to the EU.
