Equal treatment in calculating fines

On 12 July, the General Court handed down judgments in the appeals brought by Hitachi, Fuji, Mitsubishi and Toshiba against the Commission's decision of 24 January 2007 in the gas insulated switchgear cartel. The court annulled the fines imposed on Mitsubishi and Toshiba and reduced the fine imposed on Fuji, but maintained the decision and the level of the fine in respect of Hitachi.
