DG Competition informal guidance paper on confidentiality submissions

The European Commission has published guidance on confidentiality submissions. These submissions are commonly made in cartel matters where business secrets and commercially sensitive information is redacted and justified by a company to ensure third parties cannot gain a competitive advantage by having access to that information.

The document is set out here and in the coming week, I will point out a few practical issues that the document deals with and a few pointers from my experience of dealing with the European Commission on confidentiality issues.
