Blocking Referrer Access
This problem is usually due to either firewall settings or cookie settings. The cookie created by our website is used to store your login. If the cookie privacy settings in Microsoft Internet Explorer are set too high it will block this and you as the user will appear to be an invalid user, this will cause you to be redirected to the login screen.
The firewall settings can also block the header information, which may be used by your site to confirm if you were directed to our site having already been validated.
Firewall (Some of these firewalls may have newer versions of the software, therefore the following directions may differ slightly)
If you are using AOL please use Microsoft Internet Explorer for our site as AOL can block referrer and cookies.
If these solutions do not resolve your problems please contact the Technical Support Help Desk on 0117 918 1496.

The white box with a red X indicates a missing component, in this case most likely the Java Runtime Environment required to run the table of contents.
To resolve this issue the Java Runtime Environment will need to be installed.
Java table of contents not working
This problem occurs when your Java table of contents is blocked from running the specific code to open the selected document.
Although this doesn't prevent you from expanding and navigation through the tabe of contents, it does prevent you from opening documents.
To resolve this problem you will need to disable yourr ad and popup blockers which come as part of your firewall/internet security package.
