  1. How do I install International Corporate Procedures?

    First-time installation on a stand-alone PC

    • Place the International Corporate Procedures CD-ROM in your CD-ROM/DVD drive
    • Should the auto-run fail click on Start, select Run..., and type d:\setup (where ?d? is the letter used for your CD-ROM/DVD drive)
    • Follow the on-screen instructions
    • at the ?Choose Library Options' screen:?
      - to keep the contents of International Corporate Procedures on the CD-ROM, select ?Use From CD-ROM?
      - to copy the contents of International Corporate Procedures to your hard drive, select ?Copy to my hard drive?
    • at the Installation Complete screen choose whether to start using International Corporate Procedures now or later and click OK.

  2. What are the installation options for International Corporate Procedures?

    Installing International Corporate Procedures

    Please note for optimum use of the new format software we recommend that your operating system be Windows 2000, XP or later. We cannot guarantee that this will install correctly on previous operating systems.

    For all operating systems, please ensure that the latest edition and service pack is installed.

    The setup routine contains three models for installation:
    1. Installation on a stand-alone PC with its own CD-ROM drive, leaving the contents of International Corporate Procedures on the CD-ROM
    2. Installation on a stand-alone PC from a CD-ROM drive, copying the contents of International Corporate Procedures to the hard drive
    3. Installation on a workstation PC, accessing the infobases and forms via a network.

  3. When I attempt to open International Corporate Procedures I get a webpage saying I have no licenses installed?

    No installed licenses

    This message is shown when the licenses for International Corporate Procedures fail to install, this is normally due to a out-of-date/missing .DLL file which is required to run the File Association Manager, which in turn installs the International Corporate Procedures licenses files.

    • Download and install the Microsoft .Net Redistributable package from here
    • Ensure your CD-ROM/DVD drive contains the International Corporate Procedures CD-ROM
    • Open My Computer be either clicking on the desktop shortcut (Windows 2000 or earlier) or on the shortcut on your Start menu (Windows XP)
    • Right click on your drive containing the International Corporate Procedures CD-ROM and select Explore
    • Open the licenses folder contained on the International Corporate Procedures CD-ROM and double click on the file within that folder
    • A file association manager should now appear which after a brief period should return the message "Success ICP.nplc was utilised by at least one installation"

  4. When I attempt to access International Corporate Procedures I receive a page saying "License time limit has expired"?

    License Time limit has expired

    This page is displayed when the license file installed for International Corporate Procedures has passed its expired date. To avoid receiving this error page you must ensure you apply each update when it is received.

    To re-enable access to International Corporate Procedures please follow the instructions below*

    • Open "Add/Remove Programs" Via Start Menu > Control Panel.
    • Find International Corporate Procedures in your list of installed programs and select it
    • Click "Change/Remove"
    • Follow the on screen instructions to uninstall International Corporate Procedures.
    • Restart your computer if requested to do so.
    • Reinstall International Corporate Procedures following the instructs outlined in the above guides.

    *please note to follow these instructions you must have the lastest International Corporate Procedures CD-ROM available.

  5. When trying to open International Corporate Procedures I get a web page saying that the page is not available?

    Page cannot be displayed

    This message is normally displayed when International Corporate Procedures CNServer.exe file does not have permissions through the local firewall, which prevents International Corporate Procedures from opening successfully.

    To enable International Corporate Procedures to open successfully, you will need to allow CNServer.exe access through you firewall.

    The following instructions pertain to users using Norton Internet Security, for all other Internet security packages please refer to the manufactures documentation.

    • Open Norton Internet Security by double clicking on the icon on your toolbar.
    • Highlight Personal Firewall and click on the configure button in the bottom right hand corner of the Norton Internet Security window.
    • From the Personal Firewall configuration screen select the 2 nd along the top to access Program Control.
    • Under manual program control, scroll through the listed programs and select CNServer.exe (sometimes listed as Content Network Server).
    • Change the Internet Access field for CNServer.exe to Permit All and then click Ok.
    • Exit Norton Internet Security.

  6. When I open International Corporate Procedures it says that my table of contents appears to the left, but all I have is a small white box with a red X in it?

    Missing Table of Contents

    The white box with a red X indicates a missing component, in this case most likely the Java Runtime Environment required to run the table of contents.

    To resolve this issue the Java Runtime Environment will need to be installed.

    • Ensure that International Corporate Procedures has been closed.
    • Download the latest Java Runtime Environment (JRE) Offline installation from here
    • Once the download is complete run the executable to start the installation process.
    • Follow the Installation instructions provided by Sun Microsystems which are available from here
    • Once the Java Runtime Environment has been successfully installed, open International Corporate Procedures to ensure the table of contents is now being displayed.

  7. When I try to open International Corporate Procedures I receive a popup message saying CNServer.exe is already running?

    CNServer.exe is already running

    This error can occur when has been open alongside another web page, which has remained open when International Corporate Procedures is closed, preventing the resources from being unloaded correctly.

    • Ensure all instances of your web browser and International Corporate Procedures have been closed.
    • Right click on your task bar and select Task Manager from the context menu that appears.
    • From within Task Manager access the list of processes by clicking on the processes tab.
    • Click on the Image name field to alphabetize the list of processes.
    • Scroll through your list of processes and select CNServer.exe.
    • With CNServer.exe highlighted click on the end process button.
    • You will be confronted by a popup message saying the following ?Warning: Terminating a process can have undesired results including loss of date and system instability. The process will not be given the change to save its state or data before it is terminated. Are you sure you want to terminate the process?? click yes to end the process.
    • Open International Corporate Procedures.

  8. My Java table of contents loads, but when I try to open a document using it nothing happens?

    Java table of contents not working

    This problem occurs when your Java table of contents is blocked from running the specific code to open the selected document.

    Although this doesn't prevent you from expanding and navigation through the tabe of contents, it does prevent you from opening documents.

    To resolve this problem you will need to disable yourr ad and popup blockers which come as part of your firewall/internet security package.

    • Ensure that International Corporate Procedures has been closed.
    • Open your firewall/internet security package.
    • Select privacy control.
    • Disable your ad blocking and popup blocking.
    • Save/accept the changes to you security package, and then close it.
    • Open International Corporate Procedures
