Judith Masson M.A., PhD, Professor of Socio-legal Studies at Bristol University is joint author of Principles of Family Law (Thomson, 8th edn, 2008). She was the academic member of the Family Justice Council (2004–11). She recently completed an ESRC-funded study the pre-proceedings process in the PLO, Partnership by law? (2013) and is now working on a new ESRC study on outcomes of care proceedings for children.
