The acquisition of Jordan Publishing by LexisNexis UK
We are pleased to announce that the acquisition of Jordan Publishing by LexisNexis UK completed on the 22nd January 2016.
It’s an exciting time, and we very much look forward to the opportunity this brings to provide our customers with new products and services in the future. LexisNexis has an extensive suite of online solutions, and the acquisition will allow both Jordan Publishing’s and LexisNexis’ customers to have access to a larger and deeper range of complementary content and products. The combined offerings will improve flexibility and choice for our customers, taking into account diverse customer needs.
Divestment of titles to Bloomsbury Publishing plc
As part of the acquisition process and as a requirement of the Competition and Markets Authority, our subscription titles Hershman and McFarlane: Children Law and Practice and Duckworth’s Matrimonial Property and Finance have been divested to a third party publisher, Bloomsbury Publishing plc. Until July 2016, Jordan Publishing will continue to support all enquiries from subscribers to these two titles. Prior to that date, we and Bloomsbury Publishing plc will be in touch with affected customers direct with details of their new points of contact and any other information they need to know relating to their subscriptions to these services.
There will however be a new point of contact straightaway for all customer enquiries about the following three Jordan Publishing’s textbooks, which have also been divested to Bloomsbury:
- Children Act Handbook (2015 edition)
- Practical Guide to Family Proceedings (5th edition)
- Childcare and Adoption Law (2nd edition)
The point of contact for all enquiries for these three textbooks is now Emma Smith at Bloomsbury, whose contact details are as follows:
Telephone: 01444 416119
